Expat FAA CFI
Guys, I'm looking for some advice here. I'm a UK citizen with US work privileges currently working as an instructor in the US. I have all my FAA ratings except the ATP including all the instructor ratings (CFI, CFII and MEI). I've got 700 hours including 80 Multi-engine hours. I love working here and I would love to stay however eventually I'd like to return to the UK and get a flying job.
I'd like to know what the latest deal is with the CAA regarding FAA qualifications, I read somewhere on Prune that they may recognize the FAA IR.
Also could I take my JAR ATPL theory course over here? How long would that be valid for?
Thanks

Do a search, this comes up all the time - it is currently covered on here under converting an Aussie licence - the hoops are the same for FAA for someone with youir hours.
Good luck!
