Having spoken to people in the know at OATS it is clear that they intend to continue and indeed expand their Modular training business.
What has happened is that they temporarily stopped accepting Modular student to clear a backlog. This led some current students to believe that the modular training was coming to a permanent end.
Hence the widespread rumours that I reported earlier in the week.
As I was on this topic I had a sniff around Jerez and it DOES seem likely that they will offer Modular courses from Spring next year although nothing officially decided yet. I didn't think they needed the complexity of modular training but apparently they are set to go for it.
Good news on both counts for all those considering the modular route.
Cheers

Modular at bae Systems.
This will be good for the market,. if we have British Aerospace finally getting it together and offer high quality modular training.
Pitty they can't get it together to make an airliner
