Question Advice on FAA or CASA CPL ?

Hello,

FAA or CASA ?

I am just short of 180 hrs total, PPL (class I jar med) all SE Land, some complex and
lots tailwheel time. Am emigrating to OZ with my wife in the next
6 - 10 months and would like advice on whether its better to go to the
USA in the meantime and do a FAA/CPL ME and Instruct ratings or wait until I get
to OZ and do it there ? I have got some ball park prices from a few schools
in the US and its looking like around 10K GBP

I hope (intend) to instruct/util for a part/career when there, and am not really interested in the lines so jet time/and or turbo is not an issue. (cant' afford)

Irish Pilot based SE UK, and yes the weather here sux even more than kerry.
