Another ICAO ATPL to EASA ATPL (no type) post. Advice needed.

Hello folks, I'm an ICAO ATP pilot flying in Argentina. I'have a type rating and am currently flying a B1900D as captain. 3300 hs total hours, 150 PIC and 600 hours SIC in the B-190.

I'm considering converting my license to EASA since I have italian citizenship, and I'm legal to live and work in EU. I've been doing some research and AustroControl seems the best option because they have an external examination center in Brazil, so would be very convenient due to location.

Unfortunately I was told by Austro Control that my type rating in the B-190 is not eligible for completing the ATPL full conversion. So I'm thinking of another plan of action and would like to share it, expeting somebody knows if it is possible.

I was also told by Austro Control that I may be able to take the ATPL theory exams, providing some kind of proof that our operations in the B-190 are conducted under multicrew(? I think I could work that out since we do fly multicrew. So start studying and taking the EASA exams in Brazil is really convenient and if I study hard enough I could finish the 13 exams in a year.

In the meantime if I'm lucky I could get a job in an airline and get a valid type rating and some airline experience (not likely though since in Argentina the aviation market is very small.

If not, after I finish the ATPL theory, I should move to Europe and get a CPL license, hopefully with my experience don't need to fly too much, but just the specific time to get an IR and ME and get endorsed for the checkride.

I understand that having done all that, I would be certified to start looking for a job in an airline, and also in GA (I hope there are at least some King Airs flying in Europe I could hop on worst case scenario)

Is this plan doable in any way? Has anywone done the conversion recently? Hope you guys can shed some light on this.
