Any EPTSpain Flight School for PPL(A) Reviews/Experiences?

Hi All,

Looking at doing my PPL(A) in Spain over a 4-5 week period. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with FlyEPTSpain? https://www.flyeptspain.com/

I've searched online and in these forums but concerningly have found hardly any reference to them apart from 2 very basic Google Reviews.

I am aware of Jerez https://www.fly-in-spain.de/ but some recent reviews read pretty poorly.

PPL(A) over a 4-5 week period!? Even a 4-5 month period would be considered extremely fast.

Am I missing something?

Hi, I did my PPL recently at fly Ept spain. I can say that not only the price was good but also the teaching was great. I've also never felt that they wanted to sell me more hours than I needed, they always tried to keep me at the lowest hours possible. I can really recommend them also because mallorca is a really nice place for flying

if you guys are from London, how come you want to do the PPL in Spain? hour buildling may be cheaper in EASA states but you need to add in flight tickets to the departure country, accomodation, living expenses and obviously working it around your job, unless you're commencing full-time flight training? even then there's pros and cons.

All in all still works out cheaper than doing a PPL here in the UK. As that would set you back at least £10k.

Id imagine you can just take annual leave for about 4-5 weeks, and get your PPL.

yeah i guess if you can take that much annual leave consecutively. still, a PPL in 4-5 weeks seems risky if there are weather delays or issues at the school. this looks like a realistic training plan for UK students on a low-budget modular path in case anyone wants ideas

here is a school at Redhill Airfield if you happen to be based south of the river. they apparently provide EASA licenses. perhaps worth a look for the londoners here.

andre999 did you have any luck finding a school to complete your PPL(A) in 4/5 weeks?

I’m looking at going a similar route. Completing my ground school/theory exams before taking 4/5 weeks off work to do the flying.

I also looked at EPTSpain but the lack of reviews/social media presence concerns me, especially when having to pay a large lump sum up front (they also oddly have an identical logo to a different flight school in America flyeft).

Would love to be proven wrong on them as they offer a generous price.

If anyone else has flight school recommendations offering a condensed 4/5 week PPL that would be great! Open to anywhere in Europe/America.

Yeah, I'm planning to do the exact same as you!

How did you find out about a large payment sum up front? Did you contact them or?

Hi all. I'm the Head of Training at Fly EPT. I can assure you we are a (small, but) completely legitimate outfit, with hugely experienced mix of instructors (career FI, current, and ex airline pilots with 20k+ hrs) Happy to engage with anyone via DM and phone/email if you have further questions.

FlyEPTSpain is a SCAM

Hi All,

FlyEPTSpain SCAM-confirmed it with authorities. No contact details is the least of it.

A shame really, that so much time and effort is put into scamming people.

Can anyone who has done a EASA PPL at FLYEPT justify their experience? I can see that they offer a low hour PPL course for £6k roughly which is very cheap! I have seen photos online and visited website but needed more reviews if anyone has done any training there. Thanks

No idea who this person is but I'm the head of training at FlyEPT. We are registered with Aesa as a DTO (E-DTO-088), have an office at the airport, and are operating flights almost every day at Son Bonet. Happy for anyone to contact me via PM or through the website.

Ian

Given the unfounded accusation made against you, I would have no issue for you to post a link to your company website to prove the veracity or otherwise of your operation 👍

What a strange post. I highly doubt you checked with the authorities as I had my licence renewed by FlyEPTSpain and everything was in order! I also rented a Tecnam reg EC-NZS which I thought was really cheep (75 Euro per hour) however I had to do my own fueling.

I've just been in touch again with them for 20 hours and they offered it to me for 120 Euro per hour including fuel which I find to be great value. Will be going there in July so will report back...
