EASA to FAA -And getting a job in the US
Good Day all,
I'm a FO currently working in the ME with almost 3000h 777/787 time. I also have 2500h 737 from a previous company. TT just about 6000h.
I am as many are looking at the EB2 Pilot Visa Program for the US.
Firstly my 777/787 rating has been transferred to my EASA license with the national reg restriction of the country I currently fly in. I know the process to unrestrict it with EASA.
I am aware that the FAA do not recognise the type rating outright but I can go through a process to get an FAA ATP with the rating endorsed? Is this true and if so where do I start?
Secondly has anyone got experience of the visa process and actual requirements. I've spoken to some people and some firms and I've heard a few different things.
Thirdly. With an FAA ATP with 777/787 endorsed and hours as laid out above what are the job options available or feasible in the US?
The whole thing seems a bit overwhelming so any tips or hints are much appreciated!

If you complete the ATP check-ride on the 777 or 787, you will only get the one type endorsed. They are not a common type under FAA.
Not sure about availability of 787 Sims, but 777 is available through several providers. PM me for more details. TSA is the most tedious part of the process.

It really doesn't matter what type you have on the ATP, or even if you have one at all. You probably won't get a 777/787 job anyway - they'll put you on whatever fleet they want and train you accordingly. So take the cheapest option.
