Ground school results/fails
Hi All,
I’ve recently finished ground school, both U.K. CAA & EASA. However I ended up with 4 fails and an 81% average. What are my chances of getting an airline job in say a years time when I finish flight training? Any feedback from others in similar cases is appreciated. Thanks

The biggest factor in getting a job is timing. If they need pilots they'll take anyone. If they don't then they can afford to be picky. Other than certain places like Ryanair most don't really care. And once you have 500 hours on type no -one cares.
It's kind of a moot point though isn't it - your bed is already made. Don't worry about exams, concentrate on getting yourself into a job. Start with the usual suspects, then think about getting your foot in the door with a non-flying role.

Most of the times nobody cares. "Some" potential employers "might" care, depending on timing and circumstances. That's why it makes sense to try and get those exams passed cleanly with a high average. But it's not like you're doomed if you haven't.
I'd say don't worry about it now. What's the point? You've already done it. Look forward and move on.

The only reason results are important is that they are used for weeding out when there is a stack of resumes. Otherwise, if they need a bum on a seat, it won't matter.
