Flight Training in the US vs Australia

Hi,

I’m currently debating whether I should pursue flying school in the US or Australia.

I currently reside in Australia (with Australian Citizenship) but all the flying schools I come across seem very expensive and often do not offer pathways of any sort.

Meanwhile in the US, it seems as pilot demand is very high, with US airlines often picking up pilots from Australia.

Would it be smarter to just move to the US and pursue flight training there? It seems as if it is easier to get licensing there and directly apply to US airlines there directly rather than wasting my time in Australia.

If anyone could tell me some pros and cons to either side it would be much appreciated

Thank you
