EASA License Renewal Questions
Hello all,
So I received my CPL last year in May and haven't flown since due to several reasons. Obviously, my SEP/IR and MEP/IR are expired as I was not able to revalidate them in time as well. I do not see myself applying for flight deck positions at airlines for at least another 2 years. I would like some advice on what I should do regarding my renewals. Ideally, I would prefer to wait and renew only the MEP/IR just before I start applying again so as to have it valid and ready in the case that I do get a TR offer.
Looking for the most economical and efficient way to go about this as I put my flying on hold for a bit. Would renewing it just before the type rating be sufficient for the airlines or do I absolutely need to keep revalidating it even if I have no intentions of flying commercially in the short term.
Additionally, I would like to add that I am outside the EU and I'm not that flexible to keep coming to Europe to revalidate it, hence why I would prefer to consolidate all the renewals into one perfectly timed trip and get everything sorted at once.
I appreciate any help and advice and I apologize in advance if any of the questions are too stupid.
