Converting an EASA Type Rating to UK

I am coming to the end of my training and looking ahead to a Type Rating course. If I do a 737 or A320 type rating at an ATO with only EASA approval, can the Rating still be added to my UK fATPL or will I need to do a programme of training and/or a UK skills test on a UK approved sim with a UK examiner?

The UK is recognising most EASA training and tests until the end of 2022 providing the ATO held the approvals prior to brexit, so if completed before Dec 2022 the EASA stuff may still be accepted for UK issue. So I assume that also applies to for type ratings. Not sure how it works after 2022.
