Medical class 1 for type rating revalidation on FFS (EASA)

Hello,

I cannot just understand if Medical Class 1 is mandatory for EASA type rating revalidation on FFS or Class 2 is also acceptable?

You don't need any medical to revalidate a type rating in the sim, however obviously you will not be able to fly the real aircraft without a medical. I renewed my B737 rating without any medical.
