ATPL Distance Learning School
Hi everyone,
I'm planning to convert my ICAO CPL/IR to EASA frozen ATPL. I've been debating the different options for distance learning ATPL, I've narrowed it down to BGS and CATS. If anyone has any experience with any of these, can you please guide me out? There's about a different £900 between the two (BGS costs more), what's the major difference between both and is it worth the price hike?
CATS is also in London so it will be easier for me to attend the classes and examinations rather than travelling to Bristol, getting accommodation etc.
Some quality advice would be appreciated, thanks

Happy to share my experience at the time - mind you over a decade ago - but I doubt it would be much different in these days.
Did my research among various distance learning options and made my choice for BGS knowing I paid more, it had been well worth it. A good part of the value for money I found in the revision courses which I did with BGS and their fantastic team of instructors. I needed to travel in from overseas, never regretted my choice.

The UK CAA are probably losing a significant amount of income as you can sit exams anywhere in EASAland.
Why choose the more difficult style when easier solutions are available?
And I thought the whole point of EASA was all about standardisation and uniformity....
