ME IR Briefing ORS4 1385

Hi all,

A quick question on ORS4 1385, if my ME rating expired 31/05/20 and my IR expires on the 30/06/20, will both be covered in the extension period? As they’re between the 16th March - 31st October.

From how I’ve read the document, I’d need to do the briefing before I flew again but this could be at any time before the extension deadline? Or do i need to do the briefing before the original expiry date? (Too late for the ME I know)

Any info from a CAA examiner or someone who’s done the process would be appreciated, thanks

edit: I've now seen the "hold or held on March 16th", I assume that means I just need to do the briefing to extend both till the end of Oct/Nov?

You need to do a briefing (I do them over the phone/facetime/Zoom etc) prior to the extension of the rating(s) to 22 Nov then the examiner can issue you with a SRG1100F which you need to carry with your licence
