Exclamation ICAO CPL to EASA and A320/B737 Type Rating

Good day all,

Please can you help me I am in the process of converting my ICAO CPL ME IR to an EASA ATPL, I have 6 out of the 14 exams left to write and then I have to complete the flying portion of the training, I would just like to find out if anyone knows of a school in Europe or the UK where I can complete the flying portion with either a A320 or B737 Type rating so instead of flying for example a DA42 i can do the flying portion of my training in the type rating itself. If this is not possible a school that someone can suggest and the process to do this with my current ATR Type Rating.

My Current Experience: 2000+ Hours TT, 1500+ Hours Multicrew, 500+ Hours on the ATR Series, 500+ Hours Night Flying, 800+ Hours IFR

Please feel free to PM me or contact me on my email; [email protected]

Thank you all in advance for all the help.

Kind Regards
Luke Freeman

You won't be able to do your conversion directly on a new rating. You can, however do your skills test in an ATR sim provided it's current on your ICAO license.

I suggest getting in touch with an ATR sim center and getting the details to do your 2hour LST with their examiner. All he has to do is send a few emails to the country that will issue your license. It's quite common actually.

If you're converting to EASA and have a foreign type rating and more than 500 hours on type, you can do an LST on that type and get both the ATPL and type rating issued.
