Hey Guys,
Like so many others, I have not been selected for various 'top' airlines over the past year or so.
I have an Aero Eng degree (2:1), PPL 120hrsTT, was in UAS...blah...blah...and still haven't managed to get anywhere (well that's how it seems!) I am currently working as an Aerospace Engineer, so keeping within the industry, but still have the passion to fly for a career (can't settle for second best!).
I was therefore wondering if anybody knows of airlines (not just passenger - also cargo etc) recruiting in the near future? I will be re-applying for BA etc at the end of this year, but would be interested to know if any company will be recruiting earlier in the year. I hear Air Atlantique mentioned quite a bit - any info on them?
I have looked into self-funding, but with thr risk of not getting an airline job after training and also having a £40,000 debt hanging over my head, as you can imagine I'm not too sure about that option!
Anyway hope somebody out there can help, it will be most appreciated!!
Cheers

ATF in Coventry run (did run last year anyway) a half sponsored ATPL CPL/IR course for PPL holders with guaranteed salary and t/p work at the end! 4 courses a year, ATPL and hours in S.Africa, CPL/IR in Coventry.
Ring 'em up and get an app form. Professional outfit, didn't even charge for selection which is a first, except BA of course.
Apart from that the usual suspects are British Midland who advertise July/August time, Airtours who advertise July time too, and the Cabair ones which happen from time to time, KLM, Air2k, BEA.
Keep an eye out in the back of Flight and here though.
No reason for you not to give AFT a ring today though!
GOOD LUCK

how much do you want to do this? i applied to BA, filled out the lengthy form and didn't get acceptd, i was probably put straight in the bin so i found another way to pursue this career, i borrowed the money. I am nearly finished now and can tell that sponsorship is rare as rocking horse !!!!!. I am in the fortunate situation of being able to get an interest free loan though, which saves a little dosh. It does cost a lot but it sure is worth it, a friend of mine who is recently online said 'it is everything and more than i could possibly have expected' , makes me smile and drives me evn harder. Keep applying but you will be wasting valuble time waiting for replies and interview dates etc...
all the best
