Bottlenecks in Training

Are there any reported delays in Flight Training due to Instructor shortages......asking for a friend.

I don’t have much info for what it’s like at the moment. But around 2 years ago the situation was worsening. Schools wanting more for less from their instructors, the younger ones jumping ship to the airlines, and the older ones just quitting. This was particularly for the IR stage. When I started my training, my instructor had 3 students. When I finished, he had 9.

I suspect the situation is worse now. I imagine the schools just want as many students through their doors as possible. The more money they make offsets the delays incurred by the student. But someone currently in their training could give more info.
