opinions on cae Oxford and others
Hi everyone, I'm 18 and looking for a good flight school to complete the atpl within the next 12-18mths (if I get in). I was considering cae Oxford, went to their open day earlier this week but I've heard some negative stuff on here. if anyone could give me an insight into what the school is like that would be really helpful or if you have other suggestions. I've heard about L3 and leading edge but not really looked into them yet. thanks

Like I said on another thread, CAE or L3 aren't worth it. L3's got 6-18 month delays, and CAE I've heard first hand has got a for sure 6 month delay, put it this way since september my friend has flown 5 times which is pretty nuts considering he's paying that much and being messed about like that.
Do you think you'd be able to cover the extra living costs?
I passed the stage 3 interview at CAE and since hearing whats going on I've had a complete turn around and I'm set to start a fast track modular course with Aeros within the next few months. It's more cost effective for me, you get the same licence, and the same support finding a job (on my scheme anyway).

I'm a modular advocate, but if you want to do an integrated course, I suggest you look at FTE Jerez. When I went there for a job interview they gave me a very good impression.
