Change of ATO between MEIR modules

Hello to all,

Long story in short, I'm in trouble with my current ATO and I need to change another ATO as soon as possible.

I'll discuss this with the CAA of course but I also wonder if anyone did this before. Always good to hear people's experience.
  • Is it possible to change the ATO (same country or different country) after completing BIR module?
  • What documents do I need from the current ATO? Is my Logbook is enough?

You can get a certificate of completion of the BIR module.
However, you should give a bit more details, what have you done, what is left to be done ?
You can change seamlessly between MEP and IR ME phases (assuming you are modular)
But changing during the IR ME phase will probably incur supplemental training and higher costs.

It is modular.
I've finished the MEP and BIR, also the all ME SIM part of it.
Currently, I need to fly 10 hours of MEIR to finish.
I already have contacts with some other schools, and they want me to fly at least couple hours of familiarization flights because of the change of ME aircraft type and I'm ok with it.
But even the schools have no exact information about the change within MEIR modules.
I've spent so much time and money by now and it seems impossible to finish the remaining training in my current school.

I am not entirely sure, but it would seem like the ME sim part is lost.
What I take into account to say this :
The easiest way to find the information I'm looking for is simply the exam registration form.
Among the list of required documents, you will find one document where the ATO needs to certify that you have successfully attended an approved training programme.
This is because the authorities consider that your piloting level is guaranteed not only via a test, but also with a training that follows an approved training programme.
This approved training needs to be followed entirely.
If you only did the flying part at ATO B, they would not be able to certify that you did the sim part at ATO A.

Imho, you have little hope, but still some hope, still the ATO is taking responsibility for this document. You could find an ATO, and convince them to sign the document telling you followed the approved training programme.. Since you attended training elsewhere, you can always ask another ATO to sign this document, and hope they will accept.

If they accept, you can probably acquire your license. It will however be in an unorthodox way.
