EASA PPL night qualification

Hello,

So i am working on the EASA ATPL, and building hours.
One of the requirements for the flight schools here were i plan to do my IR/ME, CPL is that you need a VFR night qualification. Absolutley bogus if you ask me but oh well. I have an FAA PPL too, in addition to MY EASA PPL. In the US i did 5 hours or something of night flying, can i use this to count torwards EASAs 10 hour requirement?

Also, probably a long shot, but i know that the night qualification is included in the FAA PPL, so is there any way to argue that i already have a night qualification in regards to the EASA requirements?
