Complete MEP in 2 different flight schools
Hi all, I couldn't find my answer anywhere on Google or the forum, so I'm giving it a shot here before asking the ATOs.
Can you legally complete your MEP VFR + IR in 2 different schools?
I did 6.5hrs of ME VFR, no checkride passed because I wanted to pass my IR on ME in the same school. But the school where I was had low availability of ME IR instructors, which led me to change school and pass my SEP IR instead.
When I'll be done with my SEP IR, I will need to complete 5hrs on ME to extend my IR to multi-engine ops. And I'm thinking of doing these 5 hrs in another school as the ME IR instrucotrs availability issue is still a thing.
Question: can I use the previously logged 6.5hrs and do only the 5hrs of ME IR in another school, even if I didn't pass any ME VFR checkride? Or will I need to do the whole 11hrs in the new flight school?
Thanks for your help!

I think you can legally do it.
Another option is: doing the MEP checkride at the old school and put it on your Ppl.
Remember, you have to do the MEP checkride with 6 months from the the first day of muti engine theory class.

Oh I forgot about this 6 months rule...I have 2 weeks to pass the checkride then lol ! Given the current planes unavailability it seems unlikely.
If I go pass these 6 months I have to retake all 11hrs or just retake the 3hrs theory?
Thanks!
