ATPL Gound school full time

Hi everyone,

I am planning on starting atpl theory courses in the upcoming months.
I am french, holder of PPL with FCL055 level 6 and Toeic.

I have searched a lot and found the obvious options:
CATS on site
FTA on site
BCFT on site (top one so far)
those are fine, and I am willing to pay to have a structure that will help me pass the atpl exams.

However I would like to know if any of you have any recommandation regarding another on site school that I might have forgot ? Like in spain, eastern europe or nordic countries ?
I would like to avoid being in France to keep myself far from any « nuisance ».

CAT3C in Gloucester, UK.

Fairly new ATO but I'm told they have very experienced instructors and excellent standard of teaching! They do short classes as well and their Facebook reviews are really good. I understand they also have good, cheap accommodation. Worth dropping them an email.

The OP asked for full time - not many people do it. We gave that up years ago.

Before pulling the trigger on the BAA, you might want to check the "Baltic aviation academy" thread and read it carefully. The situation at the school is messy right now, so beware.

Thanks for that ! They were so quick to respond that I immediatly assume they were serious. Apperently they are not...

I know that distance learning would be the obvious choice but I haven’t study that much these past few years and I am not very « confident » doing it alone !

I'm with Spidermann - I'd highly recommend Cat3C. I'm currently studying there full-time and it's been great so far. Best decision I've made, as I was with BGS before and just couldn't fit it in around work/family life.

So far I have very good feelings about bcft and cat3c
maybe a little more about cat3c due to the recent exchange I’ve had with them.

I am already in contact with bartolini to complete CPL IRME after the time building, they have spots in November... 2020...

Hi, I am about to start my atpl but confused should I do it with Bristol as distance learning or Cat3C. More people say it is hard to do hour building with full time atpl. I would like to know how did you do your hour building and how long it took you to complete atpl. and weather if it is possible to work part time during full time atpl. Will really appreciate your advice. Thanks

hey there,
well I might not be the best person to answer your questions... I went with Bristol distance course.
it took me 5 months altogether, but I definitely had no time for a side job.
The only thing I can help you with is, if you are motivated, distance learning is not that hard.
read the course, use avexam, reread the course, avexam practice mode. Take a lot of notes during 1st reading. Right down the essential when reading the second time.
i did hour building in the US.
