It's not a new subject, but n add-on to Radio Navigation which in some countries is optional at the moment but you will have to take sometime anyway.

PBN is a new section included in the subject Radio Navigation. Basically the worldwide way of navigation currently used in airline transport using FMGCs and GPS etc.

A few schools already do the Radio nav with PBN ( there is an option with CAA) during the ground school, but in case at some place you would eventually end up doing around your type rating phase.
