CAE Oxford ATPL

Hi guys,
Feel free to report this thread if it is not right place to post it, but I am starting soon ATPL ground school at CAE Oxford and I would like to get in touch with former or future students for talking about accommodations, exams sessions, books...
Can anyone talk about his experience?

Ask the school for the accommodation list. its a list of everyone in the area that is renting out rooms or apartments. Kidlington is the place to be, there are nice flats opposite tesco in the high street but its one of those things that you're going to want to go and look at before you make a decision because you're going to be spending a lot of time there. As far as books go, they'll give you all 14 of them plus multiple hand outs, and their online computer training where they literally have recaps of every lesson you do. So you'll definitely understand. If not just go sit with an instructor at lunch or break, they're always happy to help you out. I hope that helps

I did my stage 2 3 months ago on Wednesday! It wasn't too bad in all honesty! I did use a couple of tools i found online to prep for it but it all seemed okay except 1 thing i failed on! This was the fixed wing assignment which i just couldn't get my mind around at first, Im retaking it in 2 days time but i understand how to do it a little more now. One thing i would recommend doing is checking what the ADAPT test is like on Youtube, its quite complicated and involved a lot of multi tasking

I know this is a while ago now! But can you elaborate on why you think you failed on the fixed wing part of the assessment? Any tips on how to pass it? Got my stage 2 next week!
