ATPL BU European Flight Academy

Hi Folks!

I have applied for the European flight academy and I am invited for the BU at interpersonal in the beginning of July. The people at Interpersonal say that no preparation is needed. However, I would like to know if anyone has experience with the test and if there is a way to prepare? I am especially interested in the Basic Technical Knowledge part?

During the process of the ATPL BU, the following skills will be tested:
  • English
  • Basic technical knowledge
  • Mathematics, mental arithmatic
  • Logical and intellectual capacity
  • Psychomotor skills
  • Attention
  • Concentration
  • Spatial orientation
  • Multi-tasking

Hello there!
First of all, wish you luck with the selection procedure.
Saddly, I cannot really help you with your question, but I am also going to apply to the same school in a couple of weeks.

Hello guys!

I am also heading out to do the ATPL BU, on the 26th July

Currently revising like crazy using the Skytest software and some high school maths and physics textbooks. Any advise or insight anyone could offer as to what to expect would be amazing! Especially if you've been and done it already!

Thanks very much!

BU is an abbreviation of a very long german word. Its basically the initial basic qualification (skills assessment - like you would do at L3 or CAE etc) that you have to do.

I have purchased the SkyTest, no idea what I need to learn so I am doing everything what SkyTest can offer me with the application that I bought. Still, I'm very curious what you need to know, the difficulty level and so on. Upcoming september I start with selections.

Any feedback from the test? Is that academy offering job after getting your ATPL frozen or MPL?

My advice is to check the german forum : pilotenboard.de

You will find everything to pass the "astronaute show"

If this topic is about EFT in Ft Pierce, FL, I can understand why nobody wants to share their experiences !
Don`t get anywhere near Mr. Fischer is my advise.
Good luck !

Does SkyTest available in English? Does it useful considering what the test really consists of?

Any recommendations from those who have done the BU? How I can prepare in advance?

Hi Bagolo,

I am also preparing the selection process at EFA. I am working on skytest software. Perhaps we can chat in order to help each other?

Hi, I am trying to prepare for the EFA Basic Qualification test. Has anyone got any tips on how to prepare? I don't know any websites or software to help my revision. Any help would be much appreciated!

All the best

Robert
