Minimum enroute altitude / FL

Hi,

I know the general rules for VFR and IFR minimum altitudes. We can find them easily in SERA.

But I've been told that in Commercial Air Transport :
- VFR flights should not be operated below 2000ft AGL
- IFR flights should not be operated below 3000ft AGL

My problem is that I'm not able to find that in AirOps-CAT rules.

Does anyone know something about special rules for minimum enroute flights for commercial flights ? And where to find the rules ?

Anything above 500ft and not in the ground should be ok....

Simple Answers: No difference between private and commercials ops, although companies may have more conservative company rule:

VFR: You are required to be higher than 500 ft above all topography that you fly over (but built-up areas sometimes 1000ft)
IFR: 1000 ft above the highest topography in a corridor associated with your flight (complex, so won't explain it here)

You will need to look at regulations for the appropriate ICAO state.

EASA: UK
CASA: Australia
etc
