ICAO to EASA ATPL conversion

Hey guys, i have ICAO ATPL license with 4000 hours on the B737NG,
I want to convert my license to EASA, and i have some questions,
If i do my medical initial class 1 in spain, will i have to continue the whole process in spain too ? And will spain be the issuing country for my license ? , will i have to take the ATPL exams in spain ?
And what about the examination system ?

Thanks guys .

You can transfer the medical. It only determines where your licence is held, not where you do the training.
