Global Aviation (cpl-me-ir)

Does anybody have any more info or experiences with this school?

http://globalaviationsa.com

There are lots of good reviews on the 'Wings Alliance' website and they themselves have sent me some decent info via email but there is hardly any information on here.
It seems like it's not one of the popular schools people are using today like Bartolini air and Diamond Academy; which seem to be big players at the moment.
I guess I could get a cheap ticket and give them a visit but I'd be grateful if anyone else could give me their thoughts/experiences. It's hard work trying to get anything from bartolin or diamond at the moment as they are so busy, they don't get back to me. I really need to find a good school for the cpl me ir at the end of the year but I don't know where to go, especially as the popular ones are booked. Im not fussed about location, more quality of training.

Cheers 😉

I'm starting with them in a few months time, so far the communication has been great with them. What I did was, I went through their facebook page where they celebrate other students doing solos or completing their course and just messaged good bunch of them privately to see if there's any dirt. So far everyone has been very positive, haven't heard a bad thing

Thanks Martin, that's a good idea contacting other students.
It does sound like a good school, 30 days to do the whole lot though?? I thought Diamond Academy was quick but wow! Some people say 3 months is hard enough, trying to get their head around the IR concepts.
I hope it all goes well - be interested to hear how you get on.

yeah, I questioned that, but they say some manage in 20 days, some in 50, as in those are the extremes, but most finish in 30.. what helps them, apparently, is they have a relatively large fleet - two twins and 6 singles, if I remember correctly. They also say they fly 360 days a year, I don't think Diamond can say the same.. anyway, I expect it to be intense and tough, but that's the only arrangement that will work for me. I can't afford to stretch it out for months..

as for the IR, I'm doing a bit of practicing myself at home using FSX, just to get into habit of reading instruments, capturing radials, shooting some VOR/DME approaches etc. I hope it will help me along the way
