Procedural Training

Dear all
Do you know what the best procedural trainer on a pc is out there?
I am a Pilot working at the mo and its for a friend of mine who is training

Without mentioning the aircraft type your friend targets the question is a bit ambiguous.

For Airbus family, Flight Deck A320 is a very good sim for practicing normal and abnormal procedures. It correctly simulates normal operation and (especially!) failures of the aircraft systems. But it is freakingly expensive...
