Tips for Hours Building

Hi folks,

is that true that if we rent an experimental ultralight aicraft (like Dynamic WT9), we can log the hours as light aircraft (like C152...) ?

Cheers

Assuming you are training for EASA licence - generally it depends how the aircraft is registered. If it's registered as a microlight, you can count up to 10 hours towards your PPL but none towards a CPL. However, if it's registered as a land aeroplane -with permit to fly, then you should be able to use it for hour building.

Most importantly, I would recommend you contact your licensing authority and ask their opinion on it. Since it's not an EASA aircraft, different authorities might have different takes on it
