It was advertised in 'Flight' so as far as I am aware everyone could apply.

There were plenty of people at the assesments who worked for other companies.

They were going to run a scheme last year, but the events of September 11 put a cap on it, this was the time that the advertisment would have been placed. Besides there are quite a few of us in BRAL & in training that they need to find homes for - so to speak. So cant see any changes in the near future for recruitment. sorry.

if you get the chance its a great sponsorhip to go for. No you dont need to be ex UAS, you dont need a degree and you dont need to have a PPL or previous flying experience, but you will need a class 1, get one now before 1) the price goes up, b) so that you know you meet the requirements, it is worth it and a lot cheaper than an ATPL course. Although some or all of the above will show you enthusiasm towards flying professionally, the selection is more on you and what you can do, your attitude towards study / flying and working in a team. Ask the question of yourself, would you like to be sat next to yourself for eight ours crossing the atlantic.
