Best School For EASA ATPL?

Hello everyone,

I have been browsing for a quality and affordable EASA ATPL aviation school.

Thus far I have found a couple aviation schools that might seem promising, but upon further re-search on PPrune for reviews, I notice that they aren't as good as they claim to be.

I am hoping that anybody here on PPrune is able to help me find the perfect school, or I can perhaps get on this adventure with a fellow member who is currently in the same position as me.


What I understand under quality and affordable would be a good amount of flight hours, perhaps even a contract to work as an instructor after completion of the course, or a great after care that can increase (almost guarantee) a job after completion and affordable. Preferably less than $60.000


If you have any suggestions what to look for, please, do let me know!

Generally "quality" and "affordable" can't be in the same sentence... However, there are some good schools, like F-Air in Czech Republic.

Generally when people talk about schools for ATPL, they mean ground schools for ATPL theory. If you mention the price of 60k, that kind of tells me, you are looking for a full package CPL/ME/IR + ATPL theory, or as some call it the fATPL? If so, where are you based? Are you looking to do an integrated or modular course? there are so many different variables here - how are you going to finance the training - are you taking time off work? Are your mum and dad going to finance you? Are you an EU citizen with no restrictions to travel to US?

@martin, you are 100% correct, I am indeed looking for the full package. I am based in The Netherlands. I would be looking to do an integrated course. I will be able to finance up to $60.000 without any banking, as banks in The Netherlands don't finance pilot training, but if you knew one that does, that would be awesome. I just graduated from college, so I am still fairly young (20 y/o). I am an EU citizen with no restriction to travel to the US.

Do you possibly know anybody that has graduated from F-Air, if so, do you possibly know if they already have a job as airline pilot without having to take a pay to fly course?

No, but I heard good stories about them. Another school worth looking is Bartolini Air in Poland.

Considering your budget I would go for these people: European Flight Training - Welcome EFT Flight School
and then do the Conversion of your FAA CPL with a school like Fly in Spain or ACS in Scotland, or FTA in Brighton. That gets you approximately 60000 bucks woth of training for a EASA fATPL in record time !

I have looked up some information about CTC a while ago.

I thought that CTC was THE best choice anybody could make, due to an almost guaranteed job.
