Post Flight Instructor

Due to the current climate of the aviation industry I am thinking of becoming a flight instructor. What are the job prospects like at the moment for a flight instructor, how many hours can you build in one year, and what is the pay like?

Jobs - about as common as rocking horse poo.. .Pay I was on £10 hr flying as AFI, Now £16 as a QFI.. .Hours - Winter square root of f*** all.. .Summer depends on the school. I got 80 in Nov and look to a full 100/month with the school I am with. It was half that at my last school.. .Good luck - it is fun but don't ever be bullied into flying in bad Wx by management or fly in a/c not airworthy. You are a commodity inthis business so be prepared to be treated poorly.
