FAA CPL written exam issue...
Here's a weird one... ready to take the FAA written CPL exam.
But I'm told I will need a signed certificate of some kind from an approved FAA ground examiner.
As i did my study on a computer based Test prep software with accompanying text books, I don't have a ground examiner!
The exam centre informs me if its a computer based course then there should be some certificate at the end (but there isn't with asa Test prep which I've been using)
Can anyone think of a way round this or even recommend some online software course that DOES give me this pointless certificate, so I can take the exam?
Any help appreciated as always.

What does ASA have to say for itself ? Several ways to contact them especially if you happen to be in the States at the moment where you might get an actual human on the phone. I can understand your frustration.

Part 61.35 (a) (1) requires an endorsement from an instructor.
eCFR ? Code of Federal Regulations
I don't believe ASA provide this you'll need to find an instructor to sign you off.
Most will require a demonstration that you are ready for the knowledge tests as the FAA tracks failures against the instructors.

ASA test prep....Provides this, I have just done it.
Open the first page of the test prep book, there will be 25 digit code printed on the book , take this code and go to prepware.com
You will need to pass 2 tests, once passed these tests , they will issue you a FAA sign off for your logbook, just print it and take it with you.
If your book is second hand you can buy these tests and sign off here ....http://www.asa2fly.com/Prepware-Prac...-P876C460.aspx
