Post Becoming an airline pilot

Hi,

I'm currently completing my degree in aerospace engineering in the UK and I have an FAA PPL.

I'm of Indian origin and would like to go and get my CPL.

I seek advice on what would be the best way to get into the airlines from my CPL? As an Indian, I understand that I can get my CFI/II/MEI and become an instructor for up to 12 months however reading other reviews I've seen that it would get me up to that 1500 hours that most airlines seek.

Please advice!

Also any recommendations for schools in the US (preferably) would be appreciated!
