Question How do you convert a CAA PPL into a JAA PPL?

How do you convert a CAA PPL into a JAA PPL? What are the benefits of having a JAA licence compared to a CAA PPL?

Thanks,
Tarmach.

From GID 36 -

Hold 75 hours on aeroplanes.
Demonstrate the use of radio aids to any Chief Flying Instructor.

And then once you've got your JAR PPL you have to renew it every 5 years (around £100 a time). As far as I can see, there's absolutely no benefit in swapping licences unless you plan to fly from Europe.
