Question Minimum of dual hours to fly a new a/c type

Hello,

is there any regulation saying how many hours is minimum to fly in dual (with instructor) during a new aircraft training?

For example, I fly mostly C152 or C172, now I would like to fly a Cirrus. How many hours do I need according to rules with an instructor?

Well, I know I need a sufficient number of hours to properly learn how to fly the type, but I'm just wondering, if there is any regulation.

Thanks in advance.

From a licensing regulation's point of view - no. Insurance might be another story...

Damn insurance... I didn't think about that from this point of view. Thank you very much!

I think most Cirrus insurers want 10 hours on the cirrus family or significant glass experience and check out with a suitable instructor.

Our syndicate insurance, not atypically, starts at £1k insurance excess when you have no time on type, and it tapers down to £350 when you've 50+hrs on type.

(From memory, numbers may be incorrect, but you get the idea).
