Post DFW

Could anybody please recommend anywhere to go flying around the Dallas Fort Worth area?
Some first hand info would be good, as would any aircraft and their rates if possible!
Thanks in advance....

Never actually got the chance to rent in the area, but did manage to scout a bunch of FBOs out at Addisson, TX. It's about 10 miles NE of DFW just off the North Tollway.

There are a number of FBOs at the field, but they are not all located in the same place, Monarch, Flightline and Classic were the places I found there, there are more!

Also a good flight museum on the field if you are into that sort of thing.

Enjoy

Cool

I agree with Mongoose on Addisson, I did some hour building there in the early 90's. Check out "Aviator" if they are still there. Good school with Beech Skippers, Sports and Sierras (equal to Tomahawk, Warrior & Arrow)

Great minds think alike.......

Check out Monarch @ Addison field....Tidy operation, with good quality Aircraft and field facilities. That's where I am off to..........when the time is right. They also assist in sorting out Visa's too!!

You could also try Amercian Flyers out at Meecham Field (near Fort Worth)

Good luck

Thumbs up

I hired a very nice C172 from Classic Aviation at Addison in February, and flew it to Florida and back.

Hi there
I flew from Arlington(Decathlon,152/172 from the biggest FBO,but others there, too)and Lancaster(172)and Redbird(Arrow). All good aircraft, from decent FBOs,with good instructors and the rates were well affordable(sub-$80 each,inc.instructor).Lots of interesting fields to fly into(Terrell,McKinney,MidWae,Corsicana, etc).Terrain is dullsville and the weather can be very interesting.
regards
TDD
