US Training

I have heard that there is a ban on non-US citizens training in the USA. Is this true?

No.

You DO now need a visa to train in the USA, but that's not a problem if you have good credentials yourself, and approach a professional US flight training centre. There are quite a few mentioned on PPRUNE - just browse a bit.

There is a good thread on the go in Private Flying forum, about the current VISA requirements, for flight training in the USA.

Big plane sims will be a problem! Little planes, and you don't fit some profile. no problem.
