MEP Hour Requirments
Hello,
I have an EASA CPL SE looking to add an MEP rating. My school says I have to complete the 6 hrs (2.5 General + 3.5 Asymmetric)..
However I already hold an FAA Multi-Commercial certificate with 40 hours Multi; obviously exceeding the EASA requirements.
Can anyone tell me if these 6 hours have to be completed with an EASA Instructor or clarify why the school insists I do the 6hr course?
Feel free to PM me or any advice would be great!

They need to be done with an EASA approved school/ATO.
I can't find any dispensations for IACO ratings.
To be honest I looked recently at getting mine back which had been out for over 5 years and they were all saying full 6 hour course.
That was with over 5k hours flying twin TP's.
