Thumbs down Brotannia say a nice fair well to their recruits

Have heard that Brit are no longer training their recruits. Will it happen to the likes of Easyjet and Ryanair?

This post merits to make PPRuNe history. Let's keep it alive.

By the way, what exactly is a fair well?

(edited for spelling...)

Unhappy

I guess this fella is getting at the story/fact? that Britannia are no longer looking to recruit or train anyone this winter.

Hardly surprising one feels......

That said, the original posting was shocking in it's content.

Unhappy

All the guys who had been offered jos OR who had started training were called yeaterday and told their services were no longer required and that they could expect one months salary and a reference.

A sad sad day - especially for a good friend of mine with them starting a 757/767 type course in 3 weeks. Gutted for you Rob.

I am moving this to Wannabes.

No phone call, just the 'dirty' letter. Giving myself the grand total of 9 days notice before I started. I saw it coming a mile off. Irony of it is the company contacted my references on the 11th. Now looking for work. Very experienced sweeper and coffee maker.
