Late starter?

I've recently started buzzing around Barton with an instructor in the hope of getting my PPL. At the age of 29 (30 in November) and with limited capital, is a professional flying career a realistic goal? I appear to be too old for the sponsored courses, but I do keep hearing things about pilot shortages in the future, and wondered what my options would be to get that elusive seat at the front?

I was 28 when i started and should be finished by early 30.
Get your finger out bite and the bullet.
Get your PPL as fast as possible ( US 3 weeks worked for me, get all the trevor thom before you go, and study them)
I found that options became available and i have become more focused towards my goal since the PPL.

So there is still a chance for an old fogie like you to get sponsored
