Post Performance A

Could someone possibly give me an explanation to what a Performance 'A' qualifiation is and how you go about getting one.

The short answer is that you can't anymore.

It was a UK exam covering performance calculations (particularly take-off & landing) for jet aircraft.

Those syllabus items are now contained within the JAR ATPL syllabus.

However.... If you need to fly A/C in the Perf 'A' category but only have say, Perf E, you will need to pass JAR Performance.

But don't worry, it's half the length of the Perf A exam. The specific type performance training is now included within the TRTO course.
