Personal Comment
As my name was mentioned, I felt I should comment personally. So far amongst the rumours I have spotted one point that is without doubt factual; PFD's Fire Warning impersonation is Cracking!!
I would Just like to say one thing about this thread. Wannabe's come here to hopefully get the best advice on where to train, ground and air, and other relevant advice, what they and the industry do not need is someone to start a thread entitled..
End of OATS? and later on back this up with..
If the title end of OATS is not enough to imply failure I don't know what is. As for paying more, I can't comment on whether we overcharge or not at OAS, but I do know that our April JAA exam results were well ahead of the overall CAA_JAA average by over 20%.
I can only assume some kind of hidden agenda trying to undermine this company, sad really.
As always I wish ALL wannabes on integrated or modular courses wherever they train, the best of luck.
Finally thanks to the Pruners who did email me with feedback on OAS seminars etc, I will pass this on to the relevant areas in the hope that we will improve, <joke>although improving on perfection can be difficult</joke> notice the code in case anyone takes this too seriously.
Regards to all.

Dear all. As the originator I don't think I ever said OATS was going bust.

Hey Piston Pete,
Nice one for sticking your head above the parapet and sticking up for OATS without the cover of your Nom de Plume.
Interesting to see that you posted this first thing and yet none of the usual detractors have a word to say.
Keep up the good work.

Pete touched on the April JAA results which as he said were very good. I sat the Navs in April and on my course here at OATS, 15 people took 120 exams in total and no one failed a single paper! Only a couple of people had an average which dipped just below 90% while everyone else had an average which was 90% or above. A testament to the hard work being done by the ground instructors at OATS.
