Dear all,
first of all I’d like to express all my gratitude to everybody that will give me a hand. My name is Alberto and I’m writing from Italy . Since I was 16 I have kept working hard and studying in order to make enough money to start an “Ab – initio” pilot training. I know I’m one of the thousands that have this dream, but I’m sure that asking is always worth a try. As I mentioned before, I have earned, thanks also to the stock market, something like $ 30,000 USD that aren’t that bunch of money but it’s still something. I have been looking at some schools lately, but I’m puzzled and concerned about which one would fit me. I was surprised by www.propilottraining.net (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA) because, as it appears in the web site, they train you and give you an overall flight time of almost 1000 hours, which I think is pretty good. I sent them a letter, two e – mails and a fax but no news at all from sunny Florida. On the other hand, I’m in contact with another flight school, located in Australia, that thanks also to the convenient currency exchange rate, turned out as the cheapest one. The provide JAR training, while the American schools usually don’t, but still I am concerned about the location, the quality of the school and I don’t really know if it would be the best for me. If anyone knows about good + cheap training opportunities or schools across Europe like Spain, England, Netherlands, please let me know. I’m will to succeed in accomplishing this dream, so I would enjoy any piece of advice, suggestions, comments to my circumstances. Thanks a lot, Arrivederci Alberto

If you're looking to get a JAR licence then you'll have to unfortunatly forget Australia, quite a few people believe that BAE in Adelaide can do JAR flight tests but they can't, I tried!!!
Saying that, Australia is a great place for your initial training for a commercial licence which can later be converted.
Good Luck!

Airmed JAR training
Ciao Alberto,
my name is Pete, writing from Venice, Italy.
I will start training at Airmed - Spain the next September. I went to see the school three weeks ago, and I got a very good impression. I am interested in searching some mates who will join the September course.
I have been talking with many other Italian guys who started the course last year and they were all satisfied.
If you want we can get in contact in private, my email is [email protected].
Hope to hear from you soon,
Pete.
