Hi

Could anyone recommend a good IR trainer for either the PC or IPad?

Ideally i want something that gives good examples/teaches VOR and ADF intercepts etc..

Nav Trainer for Ipad.

It will let you play around with VOR and NDB.

For teaching you should have your Instructor, otherwise look for videos in youtube...

There is a company called 'Oddsoft' which produces RANT XL, and I believe this has been around for years. It is used at a number of flight training institutions.

Check it out at: Oddsoft Limited, producers of the Radio Aids Navigation Tutor (RANT XL) - an invaluable tool for instrument pilots.

The creator is a CAA IR Examiner too.
