Anyone done the IRT at Bristol?
Has anyone recently done their IRT at Bristol? If so, what was it like? Do they have a good success rate? Cheers,. .NS 10 <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Very good set up, proffesional outfit, Nasib was an excellent instructor - not sure if he is still there. I went back in june 2000 - but still hear good things about them.

Bristol are a very well organised and run school. The Instructors are generally not hour building but dedicated instructors which shows in their excellent success rate.
I completed late last year and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I rate BFC very highly. I think that they're one of the best in the country. The flying instructors are (my IR training was in Aug/Sept 2001) excellent. The sim is a fully approved FNPT2 Seneca, and I hope they've sorted out their scheduling problems on that (they should have!! <img src="wink.gif" border="0"> )
They have four training aircraft, important, because they will occasionally go tech, and you'll generally get two flights a day, one flying and one observing in the back, which believe me is just as good for learning!!
The ops guys are excellent, they keep the training a/c fuelled and they make sure that your flight plans are filed correctly!! <img src="smile.gif" border="0">
You won't go far wrong with them, the instructors are really cool, but you'll know when you're +/- 100ft though, they'll tap on the altimeter just to remind you!!

Just to echo what others have said....Brill. A large runway with ILS on both ends, radar control, never have to wait long for slots and some straight forward routes. Nasib is the man to fly. One of the most patient instructors I've met (Smokes like a chimmney though !!). .Basically you cant go wrong as the staff will look after you.

Adding my two bob.
Did CPL/IR with them this last July/Aug/Sept.
Good set up with good size & mix of instructors.
Suffers the usual problems all flight schools have.......too many students one week, busted aircraft the next, but no real dramas.. .You could do a lot worse.

They've recently taken the contract for finishing off WMU integrated course students away from Oxford. On one hand that says much for the quality of their training, on the other it means that they're going to be busy.
