It's just a matter of curiosity. How can you train students in an Island where there is only one airport?
How can you train navigation on an Island?
How can you do your IR training with only one airport?
Etc.

Presumably because it is not Easter island (IPC) and there are other places nearby. For example, the Italian island of Sicily is about 70 miles to the North with its own airports.

MLA is an International airport with its own instrument approach procedures.

What wouldn't you be able to do?
