Post HEIGHT

Well, 1 day I hope I'll fly a nice big jet (A330..767...), is there a minimum height or can you just adjust a seat like a car? (My height is 5'5").

Seat height is adjustable. You can slide it forward and back too. On most aircraft the rudder pedals are adjustable too.

In both light aircraft (of the sort used for training) & the big jets, some of us who are of a SENSIBLE height (I am 5'6") can fit in far more comfortably, than those over 6'

For 'sensible height' read 'short ass'.

Thumbs up

5'6" IS a very sensible height, for a WOMAN

I fit into small aircraft, a lot easier than some of my 6' plus male friends

I agree. Being a tall chap getting shoe-horned into a small plane is not always great fun (take heed Mr Cessena and your fag lighter throttles!!). Being rejected from the RAF because of it despite having passed selection is not much fun either. Especially when they claim to be short of pilots.

I have, on occasions, felt like doing a Police Academy and tearing the back seats out in a Hightower stylee

One benefit though....I never got id'd ever when I was younger

6' 5" is a sensible height. You must have got your numbers the wrong way round!
