Does a FATPL applicant qualify for a cadet program?

I know some airlines such as Cathay require zero hours but is this the case for other airlines.

I think most say no, which is in my opinion very unfair. I think the airlines are looking for control over the training so they can monitor progress throughout, I don't really know though.

An example of what you would be looking for was Aer Lingus' recent scheme, they ran a cadet programme for 0 hours peeps AND a separate one for candidates who already had their license, I think this was very unusual though.
