Red face EASA Boeing 737 type rating in Florida(preferred) or USA in general

Hello fellow airmen,

Here is the situation:

I'm currently the holder of an EASA UK CAA issued CPL(A), ME, IR(A) license and haven't done an MCC course yet.

I'm from Montreal, Canada and I'm looking for a TRTO that provides EASA approved B737 TR in Florida in particular, or the US in general. I checked ith Pan AM international but they said that they have to undergo some kind of inspection next month before they can provide the training.

Does any one know any EASA approved TRTO in Florida that can provide MCC and B737TR.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi there,

well, to my knowledge it's not possible to get an EASA approved TR outside the EU or EASA zone.

See the following link, especially #2:

Not true, the post you link to was when JAA was in effect which ceased to exist on June 30th 2009.

There are several organisations approved outside Europe to do EASA training (and were also approved under JAA) directly by EASA and also several by other authorities such as Pan Am in Miami.

EASA maintains it's list at :

EASA - FCL Organisations Approvals

If you require base training (not everyone does) then this can be done anywhere where you can rent the aircraft
